This is Hippaestrum amaryllis. Sometimes it’s called the South African Amaryllis, and that’s the name I’m fond of at the moment. This is a Christmas flower, and because this past weekend a few things happened in my life that I thought were worth celebrating, I thought I’d take a time lapse of this lovely little thing blooming.
