Kelvin Grove
Kelvin Grove is a device that was intended as a remote, self-contained camera device that was used to support a pesticides spraying operation for a large commercial ranch. KVG was powered via solar arrays and took photos of a fly paper that would capture a certain parasitic moth. The count of the moths - which occurred on the device - was then used to determine whether or not it was necessary to spray the crop that an array of KVG devices was deployed in. Essentially, the mitigation of pollution of crops via pesticides that were used for either human or animal consumption was the purpose of this device.
